National CInemedia(NCM)
Noovie is focused on leading moviegoers to what's next in entertainment. Reimagined for today's movie audiences, Noovie, formerly FirstLook pre-show, will play in top theaters across the country including AMC, Cinemark, Regal Entertainment Group, and 49 other regional and local theater chains. NCM programs exclusive Noovie content as a pod in the show that gives audiences a look at "what's Noovie" in their world, including movies, music, local and more.
LA Labs consulted with NCM to design and develop a new website and app platform to support Noovie's movie and theater information as well as special programs and events.

Discovery is a platform innovator evolving to become a direct-to-consumer leader to help superfans enjoy our brands across every screen. Today the company reaches viewers across all screens through TV Everywhere products such as the GO portfolio of apps and Discovery Kids Play.
LA Labs consulted with Discovery for its international OTT strategy that included app development, content workflow logistics, streaming infrastructure and regional rollout of the OTT product.
HEED
A Revolutionary New Way for Fans to Experience Sports
HEED is a new consumer platform that is transforming the sports and entertainment experience. Using Internet of Things analytics and artificial intelligence, HEED delivers real-time stories, unique insights and a new way to visualize and engage with live events.
Powered by venue and audience data, HEED uses IoT sensors to knock down the divide between spectator and talent, adding a whole new dimension to the fan experience with fully automated and tailored content and video.
LA Labs helped HEED develop its "Measure Up" feature which allows fans to mimic a specific sports highlight and submit it to be scored by HEED's analytics platform and compete in contests to win special prizes.
KERNEL
NOw Fandango Shop
Kernel's platform sells movie-related packages that include related content, merchandise, digital home entertainment, and VIP experiences. Kernel was named one of "10 Startups and Technologies to Watch in 2015" by Video Ink.
LA Labs was the technology group behind Kernel's digital platform and played a big roll in the high profile streaming of Sony's "The Interview". After the cinemas pulled the release for fear of attack, Sony engaged with Kernel and the LA Labs team to construct a streaming site to distribute the movie to home audiences in what was the biggest VOD release in Sony's history.
Smiletime
NOW POP-IN
Smiletime is a digital live video streaming platform. It's a place for connections between the performers and their crowds. The company provides an online platform for video storytelling which allows audiences to interact with on-screen content.
LA Labs has been partnered with Smiletime since 2015 to augment their tech team to develop and maintain Smiletime's mobile apps. Integration WebRTC to a React Native implementation has provided an amazing mobile experience where Smiletime's user base can enjoy all the livestreaming interactivity the same way they do on their computers.
Adaptive Studios
PROJECT GREENLIGHT
Adaptive Studios is an entertainment studio that develops and produces original stories for traditional and digital distribution. Adaptive prioritizes the ownership of IP, building its vast library of content through four key mediums: Film, TV, Digital Series, and Books/Publishing.
Project Greenlight produced by Adaptive Studios taps its community of talented filmmakers from across the country to submit their work in hopes of being selected to bring their film to life. As a result of the huge response to the show, Adaptive launched the Digital Studios initiative in order to provide emerging talent with access to the entertainment industry and forge Hollywood relationships.
LA Labs helped Adaptive build its content submission platform to enable the management of video submissions and voting and community rating of the content.
Fresno Inc.
using machine learning-based proprietary insights to reinvent the premium content model
Fresno Unlimited is a transformative entertainment company using machine learning-based proprietary insights to reinvent the premium content model. In combining “intelligent content” with “intelligent reach,” Fresno Unlimited is creating better programming for consumers.
LA Labs helped build Fresno’s digital back-end system "PCH," a digital asset management system that seamlessly publishes Fresno's produced content to social media and distribution channels. PCH ingests content and publishes to all the major streaming platforms, then pulls in analytics and metrics around viewership across all channels and allows Fresno to make intelligent decisions on its content creation and distribution based on these insights. LA Labs also helped launch Fresno's first show on Facebook, "Cousin Sal’s Sure Thing," in partnership with Jimmy Kimmel and Dollar Shave Club.
Xemana LLC.
Mobile training for Spanish-speaking workers
Xemana is an app platform for workplace training for maintenance workers. Through telenovela-style vignettes, Xemana teaches on-the-job skills to its users including workplace safety, sexual harassment, and vocational best practices. Xemana provides a back-end analytics dashboard for maintenance companies to track their employees' progress.
LA Labs designed and built Xemana's entire app platform including a content management system, video hosting and streaming, back-end analytics dashboard and front-end mobile app.
YING Bank
A bank for humankind
YING is a peer-to-peer transaction platform leveraging "Time Credits" as a complementary currency. YING enables you to earn valuable and tangible currency for any exchange. Members bank time helping each other and then can spend the earned credits with others in the community for business resources, help at home, companionship, or any other service you may need.
LA Labs helped to launch the YING MVP app platform and built YING's initial crediting system, user database, location-based job tracking and front-end mobile app.
Fuhu
Now Mattel
Fuhu, the company behind the "Nabi" tablet produced kid-friendly electronics and digital products. Partnering with DreamWorks, Disney and Cartoon Network, Fuhu created apps centered around learning and creativity for children to have a safe and fun environment in the digital space.
LA Labs helped Fuhu build a video sharing platform called "Ohana" for kids to create fun collaborative videos with their families.
